The headquarters of this newspaper and magazine company were housed in a large 1960s office building. Our aim was to update the workplace with a space that would facilitate the business’s growth and development by encouraging a greater degree of interaction within the company.
We transformed the conventional 1960s configuration, adding the long ‘street’ or ‘spine’ that runs the length of the building. Off this ‘street’ are the communal areas, kitchens, breakout areas, meeting rooms etc and then further behind these, the desks.
