The proposed new dwelling is a contemporary addition to the neighbourhood and one which preserves the spatial planning of the area in terms of low level density and does not impact on the character of the site or area. At ground floor the dwelling is constructed in rendered blockwork which wraps around the site to provide a courtyard garden with sliding and folding glazed openings.

The first floor facade is clad in standing seam zinc which is a continuation of the roof material which echos the roof and dormer of neighbouring dwellings. Glazed openings benefit the dwelling with as much natural daylight as possible and the new landscaped courtyard and pool provide an external space for relaxation, air and exercise.
