The brief was to refurbish the meeting room suite for the Central Office of Information in London. Spacelab’s approach was to re-organise the space into “formal” & “informal” zones with a “communal” spine for circulation that could also be used as an informal gathering space. The design comprises of 6 ‘informal’ meeting booths, 3 larger ‘formal’ meeting rooms & 4 private meeting rooms

creating a series of flexible spaces, each equipped with identical AV facilities. Sliding glass partitions allow natural light to penetrate through the space, promote views through the rooms & increase the flexibility of the space, allowing a variety of different configurations to be created from boardroom style meeting rooms to an open plan event space for 150 seater auditorium presentations.
