The brief was to refurbish the meeting room suite for the Central Office of Information in London. Spacelab’s approach was to re-organise the space into “formal” & “informal” zones with a “communal” spine for circulation that could also be used as an informal gathering space. The design comprises of 6 ‘informal’ meeting booths, 3 larger ‘formal’ meeting rooms & 4 private meeting rooms

creating a series of flexible spaces each equipped with identical AV facilities. Sliding glass partitions allow natural light to penetrate through the space, promote views through the rooms and increase the flexibility of the space, allowing a variety of different configurations to be created from boardroom style meeting rooms to an open plan event space for 150 seater auditorium presentations.
