Spacelab have won the External Space Category Award in the 2006 Building Better Healthcare Awards for their work on the Orangery at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Run by Architects for Health, the awards recognise the best in healthcare design and the Orangery has garnered particular praise for transforming the experience of visitors, patients and staff alike.

This is the latest distinction awarded to the Orangery’s innovative design and its contribution to healthcare. As well as a prestigious national RIBA award in 2005, the project was short-listed for the 2005 Stephen Lawrence Award and it was mid-listed for the 2005 Stirling Prize.
