This modern, mixed-use development of 47 apartments and ground floor retail space is located on a prominent corner on Queens Road, Peckham.
We liaised closely with local planning officers throughout the design stages to ensure we got the right balance between the project’s ambitions and the planning restrictions. We designed the elevations to reflect the surrounding vernacular, with the fifth storey set back to reduce the apparent height and meet planning requirements. It has a concrete frame construction with a brickwork façade that contrasts and complements the streetscape. It also meets the Code for Sustainable Homes Level Four.
The scheme provides a selection of one, two and three-bed apartments of mixed tenure – including 30% affordable – each with its own private balcony. There is also a communal, tiered courtyard and amenity space for residents.
