Clockwise, Exeter

Clockwise is a flexible workspace and coworking operator created and backed by Castleforge real estate.

We designed a 5,500 sqft floor within Broadwalk House in Exeter. The project delivers a mix of flexible serviced and private offices.

The coworking space accommodates 13 office studios and was designed around a two-part visual strategy. First, we reviewed the character and identity of Clockwise's existing locations to ensure continuity across the brand. Second, we responded to the building itself, drawing inspiration from common areas. 

Plywood and a strong tangerine feature were introduced throughout the space, creating an environment that feels contemporary, energetic, and welcoming.

A series of glazed office fronts maximise the flow of natural light through the plan, creating a sense of openness and connectivity whilst maintaining acoustic separation.

A variety of collaborative settings are integrated throughout the floor, from informal booth seating and to larger communal work areas and call pods. The kitchen and breakout space were designed as more than a functional amenity, becoming a focal point for community and day-to-day interaction.
